Hi, I bn perscribed diazepam 2mg 3 times daily for severe anxiety, also taking sertraline 150mg. Took a diazepam bout 11 this morning, made me little tired and slept for an hour but now feeling shaky and nerves again only few hours later. Anyone else take diazepam? Is 2mg too lower a dose to do much?
i found the same thing happened with me. annoying isnt it
i would give it a few days and if its still the same ask your gp for 5 mg.
you are lucky to have been prescribed them. gps where i am point blank refuse benzos.
I suggested you to get diazepam some days I wont even take 1, other days I may take 4. The half life is quite long on them.
2mg will take the edge off things but if you feel shakey take another. If you do take 3/4 in a day try not to have another the following day though as this isis how adddicition starts
I got some zoplicone for night to sleep, can I take them both, thinking another diazepam soon the zop at bedtime?
Yep same with my GP not prescribing it.
Cheers tom
hey Dazfoxy…
maybe I’m one of the " lucky" one’s. my primary has known me for years. he prescribes 10mg 2x per day which is just perfect. I’ve taken this dosage for years (literally) and NEVER abused them or had any problems.
there ARE doc’s that (if you have a good repore with and trust), will realize what your body needs. we’re all individuals with different systems, etc.
good luck!
I seem to have found a nice lady doctor, really listened and I think understood what a state I was in.
I was prescribed 2mg of DiazePAM aka VALIUM and on my first night taking it around 1:30am only to find myself waking up at 3:30am with uncontrollable tremors that painfully jolted my body and left me terrified and definitely didn’t help the cause dealing with my anxiety ,the extreme shakes lasted about 20 min’s along with dizziness and my panic attack made it even harder to breathe .
I could not sleep anymore after that extreme episode ,so now i am taking Escitalopram aka LEXAPRO and Melatonin ,though its a work in progress i happen to get 7.5 hrs of rest and 4.5 hrs and what i can suggest what is helping me personally is breathing exercises and i didn’t think at first that these exercises would help and boy was i wrong ,performing these exercises helped calm and relax myself from the anxiety thats brewing and practicing to remain calm by engaging in conversations ,reading and taking walks (weather permitted)
if your dr gave you both then yes. if not i wouldnt like to say. maybe ask s pharmacist or your dr to be certain
That never worked for me , I became shaky . I take Clonazepam which is klonopin . I can take up to three a day . But I only take one at night . If Im having alot of anxiety I Take one in the day . Thank God I Only have to do that once in a while ! 0.5 mg .
I Also take 40mg Celexa for depression . One at night . This works for me . Have your Gp refer you to a Psychiatrist . Its the best way to get help . A Psychiatrist is a Md who specializes in our condition .
I totally agree to see a psychiatrist is needed and i am in the process to meet with one this coming week
