I just had my third internal hemorrhoid banded on Thursday. The surgeon said it was very small, and it didn't hurt. Yesterday I saw a very large internal hemorrhoid prolapsing and it wouldn't go back in. It was actually smaller and I tried pushing it in and it got larger and turned purple. I touched it and I still had sensation in it, so I'm worried that the banding failed. Or I have another hemorrhoid coming out of nowhere. It has gone back in now. It is not particularly painful right now. When I had my other done they came out the first day and still had sensation but that was when they were hurting and after 24 hours stopped hurting and I didn't see them. So either banding is working and just taking longer, banding failed, or there is a new hemorrhoid. I went to the emergency room but left because the nurse said there was nothing they can do for it. I do not feel sick, just having a panic attack. I have an appointment with the surgeon for three weeks from Thursday but the surgeon said I can make an earlier appointment if I need to.
