Let me know how your anxiety is at this moment in time on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most severe. Then tell me how your diet is and if possible a list of foods and drink in your diet over the past days. Let's see if there's a link...
Yes there is a link. Eating clean will make a big difference as well as knowing what deficiencies your own body needs and supplying it. but it is Probably only part, a very important part of the solution.i dont think it would be a unviersal diet. Biofeedback has a very strong link as well.
ok over the last 3 days I had a dip and my anxiety surfaced again it was on a scale of 4 to 5
today a little better probably a 1 or 2
so yesterday I had weeka Bix, 1 fried egg on toast and a burger king meal, that was Saturday.
Friday I had I think weetabix, noodles and sweet a sour chicken. some chocolate and a can of fanta and I drank water a lot.
Thursday I really can't remember I think I had pie and chips for dinner and water and no caffeine 7 up
today I had 1 slice of bread and honey and for lunch full English breakfast and a tea I pint of water.
doesn't sound very good when I see it written down.
what is bio feedback?
Haha where are your fruit and veggies ? Glad to hear about your lpw anxiety though
I think listening to your own bodies reactions to the food you consume.
Hi Lisa thanks for commenting. How well do you understand your own requirements in relation to anxiety, what serves you well and what sets you off? How is your diet at present?
I usually do eat fruit and veg lool I promise I do, just since I've been feeling crap I haven't bothered with cooking , see when I'm. anxious I have get out the house and I spend all day out and grab food as I'm hungry.!!
Im good. I juice as well as eat a clean diet most of the time.lately messing it up. There are foods that calm the nerves as well.celery juice, foods high in magnesium, ginder helos calm inflammation and the stomach and dizzy stuff. Some take probiotics but they have to be really top notch to ever even make it to the stomach. Fermented foods can help as well. Panic disorders basically set off to any over stimulus it has more to do with the amygalda and repetition and patterned behavior and emotion and such so that will vary from person to person. Its a dysfunction or mal function really. One would have to retrain their brain to calm automatically as the memories and such are imbedded switch off for some reason.(science end of it haha). Biofeedback is trained breathing. They have recently made a device thata regukar person can use to relearn proper breathing. Breathing has a ton to do with the bodies reaction to the fight or flight. Biofeedback and therapy together is fantastic and exists. I have done that Myself and was good for many years. Similiar to mindfullness but evident based with a device. Guess i messed it up at some point but im awaiting the biofeedbqck to go public and be affordable.palo alto sciences i think just got cleared with fda approval for their device but i have no clue what that means for the rest of us at this moment. They do have cente rs that have biofeedback with therapy all over. I realize your inquiring about solely food based but all i can say with that is a clean diet, the earth diet and juicing is a good thing to do anyone in general but for the person (lowers cholesterol, bp,inflammation) with anxiety better as it provide the body with what it needs, no chemical poisons (addidtives) added can only be a plus. I get set off from the ailments i have and if i think about them or they act up then i get get scared as one of them is my optic nerve and i love seeing. I think many peopl get trigger d by ailments or illness as well. For the last few years migranes and headaches triggers them at times, but thats an ailment as well. When i feel good and i dont focus on a evident based ailment im okay, but its hard. I was told even with any ailment no need to panic or get filled with anxiety so i guess i have to learn better to keep calm. What serves me best is eating well, walking and a good night sleep (hard at times on the sleep).i am also a faith based person. That mix i feel stronger so i do better. I do not think its solely one thing that works but a mix a lifestyle really. Im awaiting science to figure this out for certain to be honest. Personally medicines arent a option for me so inhave to look to alternative methods or anecdotes. I aslo have no real clue on my bodies actual requirements i just see how i feel. The bloodtests are limited i dont think they have a bloodtests that would actually list everything your particular bodies needs to function better. That would be lovely.
My anxiety is moderate on a 3-4 level. Diet includes corn flaxes and boiled eggs in morning. Bread, rice and vegetable curry at lunch. Fruit juice in eveing and bread and vegetable curry again at supper.
Thank you for that very detailed a s informative message. You seem to be doing well. Keep up the good work. My diet is pretty good, juicing etc. I'm a nutritionist too so currently doing my own research I to a lot of foods and how they react with the body on a biochemistry perspective. I'm recently Interested in dopamine and its influence on anxiety. Let you know what I find. Peace
What are your recent symtpoms Punk?
Hmm I hear you. It's important for us to be present isn't it. Been finding that hard as of late. Have to force myself to do just sit and breath so.etimes, or eat right or exercise. We are so hard in ourselves. We try to run away for it but we just reave it with junk food or distractions for our minds. Some of which helps. About balance I guess. What are your symtpoms like at present?
recent symptom is sleep disturbance and fear of prevous experiences
for me it's a fear impeded in me of what if I get ill again, and I need to be around people to forget. I hardly spend time at home because it brings memories and feelings of what i went through before i was on any medication. i dont like being alone, even when im.noy s9 anxious but when i have a bad day I literally three my cloths on and get outside , and don't come home. until.laye evening , can't concentrate on long conversation as I feel. panicky. anxiety is always their in the background lingering even when I feel ok. but when I get reqlly bad I ha e full blown panick attack. my biggest fear when I was really unwell was fear of going mad. and when I'm. alone this comes into my mind. gosh it's awful.
I totaly get that fear, I always think what on earth has happened to me for goodness sake.
You're not alone do you have any techniques to lessen your anxiety
. like listening to spiritual music on YouTube, breathing, meditation, exercise, yoga, reading of watching TV?
Yeah o can relate. I guess what helps me is to nottl think about them bit also to think that they were nothing, because you are still here. The experiences although aeemi glg frightening at the time have a lesson to teach. Although they appear debilitating, they actually change your perception to life, Strengthen you. We are very brave
for me going for a long walk, looking around shops or walking in nature to distract me. watching my favorite comedy shows , shower and breathing. also just seeing my friends and talking can help. other wise Diazipam! lol
