Might be a silly question but I started a new pack of citalopram 10 days ago (been on it for 3 years now and increased to 40mg in Jan 2017) the pack I was given this time is a brand I haven't had before, I suffer with migraines and haven't had one for ages then out of nowhere 8 days ago they started again and I've had aura migraine nearly everyday the past week I'm wondering if it's the different branding of my medication that's triggered them or whether that's just a coincidence? Thanks
Hi Beckai
I have read that it can make a difference. i was upped to 30 and they tried to give me a different brand but i said i want the same one. Now i get 45 and cut 15 in half. If you feel better on the same brand I say stick to it. There are posts on here about it so have a look to see what the other say.

Some people say they can tell a difference between different brands. I myself have had about 3 or 4 different ones since starting them in January and haven't been able to tell any difference .
Hi Beckal
i have been on Citalopram twice now and just weened off it after three years. Definitely stay with the same brand,we are so sensitised as anxiety sufferers and don't need even slight changes to meds ,stay with what you are used to and hopefully the headaches will settle.
Hi Beckai,I've been on the brand teva for a long time now and my Drs are now saying they can't get it anymore,so I've got to try another brand! I also take Letrozole and have been having the same brand for over 5yrs now,but last time they gave me a different brand which gave me migraines! I thankfully managed to my original ones back and I'm fine now x
I think differant brandsdo have some effect
i try preordering my brand every time
Were so sensitive I feel
