My doctor wrote a script for Cipralex 10mg but the pharmacist dispensed Zydus Escitalopram 10mg. Is there any difference?
Thanks for asking, I was going to post a simular question. I've been on Cipralex for 5 years and last month my Rx was dispensed as Escitalopram. I lloked it up online and it appears to be a generic version of Cipralex.
I feel that the generic medication is slightly different - I was lightheaded... I don't know how to find out if the composition is idential or just close. Any ideas? The village I live in is so small that we don't have a pharmasist (everything is checked by a pharmasist via video).
No, mines escitalopram too - cipralex is a different brand name x
Escitalopram is the generic name for cipralex.
Hi Judy, my psychiatrist is switching me from venlafaxine/effexor to escitalopram. I'm to reduce my dose of Ven to 150mg and then introduce escitalopram. I note that you have some experience of this and hoped you could let me know how you got on. I've been suffering from severe depression and some anxiety for about 9 months. Thanks Judy. Gen x
