Difficulty breathing

It started last year drivig to work out of no where i began to have trouble breathing i pulled over i was sweating , i never lost my sight or conciouse just fear of passing out , since that day i have not felt the same when it comes to breathing . It takes me 3 tries to inhale air , i did a heart stress test everything came out okay i did a breathing test for my lung the docotr said that comes out good, i have done three blood test fully check up everything comes up  good.

I run at list three times a week minimum 5 miles The breathing is okay when i run .

The problem is as soon as i wake up i began to have trouble breathing and feel like am dizzy, but i dont think i am , and the breathing part i feel like am hoing to passout and bave to move or do something ,

This also happes when i try to fall a sleep sometimes i have to get up for a second because i fee like am getting a good breathing in .

Saw a psych about a month ago he prescribed lorazepam take it if needed i took those but dont really see any major improvement

Any suggestions plsss

my advice to you, is avoid meds, DO not take anxiety meds, u become reliant on them and they f**k up your body.

Describe your shortness of brewth in greater detail, How often does it happen, how long has it been going on, and do you have to breath with your abdominal muscles or upper body?

for me, i woke up one night two years ago, suffocating and sweating. ever since, i literally need a deep breathe every couple breathes and its never a satisfying deep breathe. been 24/7 since.

also feel free to ask me anything and please keep me updated with everything so i can support you.

your not alone brotha, stay strong, dont let take over your daily life

Hi,

Typical panic/anxiety attack, the dizziness and feeling like passing out is because you are hyperventilating, when it happens again that feeling of not being able to take in enough air, hold your breath for around 15-20 seconds, longer if you like, I bet your breathing by yourself within 30 seconds, mother nature has taken over and forced you to breath again smile

Your psyc has prescribed the right kind of medication, anti depressants won't work on anxiety alone, where as Alprazolam and lorazepam  will, they have different actions in different areas.

If taken as instructed you will be fine, they are addictive so if you have to be on them for a long time you will have to be weaned off them very slowly, any drug will take it's toll on your body so don't let that scare you off, I have been on Alprazolam for 24 years, they gave me my life back, Alparazolam, or any benzodiazepine is only to be used if all other treatments have failed.
