I'm suffering with a tight knot feeling under my ribcage' top of abdomen. Left to middle part. It is uncomfortable. I have been suffering with constipation. Anyone else had this kind of feeling?

I have also had this same problem for over a year. Went to doctors and got tested for gastiritis which is caused by helicobactor (if that's how it's spelt), came back postive and got treated for it. However I am still suffering and have been back and forth to the doctors and they can't seem to find the cause of pain
Louise its probably best to get an endoscope down there as that really is the only really sure way to get a correct diagnosis. Do you have any heartburn/reflux? Do you know about how tricky referral pain can be?
Hi I've been suffering from LUQ pain as my GI dr calls it left upper quadrant
mine is just below my left breast just about at rib line this started about 2 years ago
had all test, scope from both ends blood and stool test also ultrasound , ct scan and throw in a hida scan to boot X-rays also I did find out that I have a hiatal hernia alongside with Barrett's and low functioning gallbladder along with IBS ok with all that said my GI DR says that it is either IBS or the hiatal hernia needless to say it comes and goes with little rhyme or reason some days it gone some days it's there I do get a lot of gurgling dr says trapped gas and in the downward turn of the colon either way it's still there no fixes from the dr
