Discomfort under right rib cage/ and side

I've been getting this discomfort under my rib cage more to the lower left of my stomach on the rib cage area. I had an abdominal ultrasound in Nov a but during that time I complained of my left side being bloated. When I got my period it went away. Now it's the right side...the ultrasound showed lots of gas in the spleen area wheras it was difficult to see the spleen. Anyone else ever had this kind of discomfort in this area?

Hi Mary, This was my post to another discussion last year. “In Feb. I starting noticing this weird almost like when I was pregnant sensation right by my rib area in my upper right quadrant. A few days later it was almost like an annoying ache and sometimes sharp shooting pains. I noticed it was worse if I was constipated which I have all of a sudden starting having a problem with. I was scared to death! I have always had anxiety but I thought it had calmed down some but the last few months it has been through the roof (all day all night). I made an appointment with my Dr, they ran several blood tests (liver, pancreas, etc), x-ray and abdominal ultrasound and all was clear (I am pretty certain my Dr also thinks I am a healthy anxiety nut). I had my gallbladder out 18 years ago so that increased my worrying. I still to this day am concerned as my brain can’t comprehend when the Dr. says i am fine. I have noticed though that when I fixate on it (23.5 hours a day it is worse. I did start taking a probiotic which has helped some but not 100%, I also started taking IBGard (peppermint) before I eat and that helps with the gas and bloating a ton. In the last few months I have also experienced brain fog, dizziness, dry mouth, no appetite, burning feet, hot flashes, night sweats, constipation/diarrhea, severe back pain (lower, middle and upper), ovary pain, cry over anything and muscle aches. When I really thought about it some of my symptoms started probably in the fall. I went through a 3 month period where I thought I had tennis elbow as my arm hurt so bad, to the point where I could not lift some things. I had a hysterectomy 7 years ago but they kept my ovaries. I was just 33 and it was because I had SEVERE cramps (had to take toradol) and heavy bleeding. I had both of my children young and was certain I was not going to have anymore children so I made the decision to proceed with the surgery however I had complications immediately after surgery (hence why I worry about everything medically). The only way I can tell sometimes when I feel like i would have my period is because I feel like I have flu like symptoms (achy). I sure hope that these are all due to perimenopause, I can live with it but it’s worrying about everything else my symptoms could be is what is driving me nuts.” Fast forward a year and I’m still dealing with crazy symptoms but not has bad since my dr put me on estrodial.

yes i get this quite alot…its like a dull ache…aches and pains…yet another symptom…
