I'll start out by saying I'm 25 years old. At 16 I was on and off birth control pills until I was 18, in 2012 I was diagnosed with HPV pre-cells to which they did a procedure to my cervix, I went back 6 weeks later to be told the cells were gone. Skipping forward, since 2015 I have had very irregular periods, getting worse with time and also more symptomatic. I have vaginal discharge constantly and sex is normally pretty painful for me. I've also been with my husband for 6 years and we haven't been able to get pregnant. I had a normal period in September, no period at all for October & November. This month I finally got one and it lasted almost 3 weeks. Then here the last couple days I spotted every other day. I have a appointment next week. Has anyone experienced this or does anyone have a idea of what it could be?

I haven't had a pap since 2013, basically the struggle of insurance and the huge wait time for a appointment so my answer probably won't be found until I get this upcoming pap. What exactly have you experienced and are you still having problems now?
Have you looked for a low cost obgyn? You can look online. I dont have insurance either. But i go to a low cost ogbyn it only cost 25 per visit. What was the results of the pap in 2013? Well it started in August actually i had an extremely long period. It was 21 days it was so strange to me. Last time i had a period that long i was 12. Then Sept. My period came late. On the 20th when i regularly have them on the 12ths. I had sex on my period with my fiancee at the time and my peripd stopped for about 3 days then came again. At this point i go and request a smear . i am only 20 so they denied it and i told them my symptoms and they said it was probably the bc and i read that bc causes changes in the beginning not after years of being on it. But i got bc because when i had my baby my bleeding just wouldnt stop. And bc was the only thing that stopped it. So i dont want to be on bc anymore because the weight i have gained from it its ridiculous. But i had 3 periods in october. A period that wouldn't stop on November. Had a pelvic exam,3 transvaginal us, and ct scan all normal with the exception of my right ovary being infested with cyst i also paid for a private smear for my sanity. Normal as well. I had my hpv shot at 11. I asked my obgyn she said cervical cancer is slow growing and probably my periods are irregular since having my baby but everyone ive met their periods are normal just my friend says she always has spotting from bc. But everyone else is normal.
And not currently because she gave me the depo shot to make the bleeding stop since bc pills werent working i do have pain in my pelvic are and down my leg so im getting that checked out this coming week.
Well luckily I just approved for state insurance because I'm between jobs so that's why I'm able to finally go this week. The pap in 2013 was normal and I also got my hpv shots I believe if they were a series of 3 shots, and I still managed to get it. And I've only had 3 partners in my life. But on your situation, I don't know how it is to have a baby but I've heard similar stories like yours. Same problems and all. You're going to get checked this week? You'll have to let me know what they say. What kind of birth control were you on?
Thats great. You should be fine but its already time to check again. Yes 3 series! Its weird you had precancerous cells if you had the shots kinda make me skeptical about it cuz i read cases of girls getting it and still having abnormal paps or dysplasia. Did you get them before you were sexually active cuz i heard in some cases that if you get them after you already been sexually active it makes you get dysplasia but since its still fairly new it hasnt had much evidence if it working or not. I have had 4. Though i only had sex once with 3. Yeah thats what the obgyn told me she also told me my number of partners were high for my age. And i agree though i know many girls my age have been with 5 guys and up. But rn i been abstinent for 5 months. And will remain until i find the right guy. That makes me feel better. My dr told me i might need bc for a while until i am old enough for procedures but i dont want no more kids and tbh i never wanted kids but since i was raised in a Christian household i couldnt see myself aborting. Its hard sometimes because im a single mom and shes severely autistic. Yes i will try to see if i can get an appt this week. I was on sprintec. I would never recommend that bc pill for anyone it sucks. I dont like depo and i loved the nexplanon but it makes you get cysts. But i think i always had cyst since i was young. But if my periods didnt go whack i would of gotten a 2nd nexplanon
I got them after I was sexually active but at that time I was with my first boyfriend and we were both virgins, the only explanation I got was that the shots protect against certain types of HPV and I probably just so happened to get one it doesn't protect. I still can't pinpoint where I got it but as far as I know it's gone but it's in the back of my mind that it came back somehow. I applaud you for being a single mother, I couldn't imagine how hard that must be & then having to worry about your body. I heard depo was really terrible for you. I had cysts at one point also to where I was borderline PCOS, I had one the size of a tennisball that ruptured, put me in the hospital and everything.
