So I’ve noticed that when I’m feeling anxious or I’m focusing on my breathing to much , I try doing something to distract myself but it only makes it worse. I try painting and I find miysekf breathing harder or faster...anyone else?
Yeah, distraction really doesn’t work. It only tells your self that there really is a threat which sends the brain more adrenaline.
Exactly! I hate having to wait it out though it’s annoying
Yes try mindfulness because when you try to fight the anxiety it get stronger just let it be you will be fine let that feeling pass without attention I have those feeling too you know what I do I say whatever the feeling this anxiety gonna come and go I will keep moving with my day she can stay or leave I will keep moving with my life and you know what happene? Anxiety goes away alone come and go alone and l let it I don’t feel it so anytime I feel like that I remember it will pass and I don’t have to worry about it
The only time distraction has ever help, when someone calls me during an attack. Which obviously you cannot rely on and only hurts you in the long run. Just acknowledge it’s happening, wait for it to be over.
What do you mean by fighting and resisting the panic?
