# Diverticulitis doctor refused scan

I had my first diverticulitis attack a couple of weeks ago. as weekend went to urgent care centre. they diagnosed, & gave me anti bios. advised me to tell my own gp i needed a ct scan for diverticulitis plus specialist urologist as had ongoing urinary tract infection too, plus kidney damage.  
I spoke to my gp who refused to do either. saying needed more positive results for urinary tract, after I’ve had 5 lots of anti bios. refused scan as well, saying they don’t do that. no other explanation just kept repeating that.  
I’m getting more worried that a scan is necessary with the urinary tract probs I case it is a fistula which I’m guessing that’s why the urgent care centre said I needed one. what can I do? anybody got any advice?
