Diverticulitis/fruits

I was just diagnosed with diverticulitis and I was just trying to figure out what types of fruits I could eat and what I should stay away from. It seems like everyone has a different opinion and unfortunately doctors don’t help out a lot as far  a diet. Thanks

For myself, when I have a diverticulitis flare up I don't eat anything for two days but I drink water and herbal teas (ginger and chamomile) and clear broths.  When I start to ingest foods I start slow and gradually with soda crackers and herbal teas and I start to add strained baby vegetables and if I can tolerate those things I move on to adding strained baby food chicken then beef.  About day 5 I add strained baby food fruits:  apples, apples with mangoes, etc.

As far as fruit in my non-flare up times, when it is just diverticulosis, I do not eat any fruits with seeds: strawberries, rasperries, blue berries, and I have heard bananas may be a problem for some people.  Instead of jam I use jello.

Each person is different with this disease.

I can eat most fruits but not citrus fruits I used to love oranges but now I find they burn (not literally) my stomach. As far as veg is concerned I seem to be fine with frozen veg but cant eat fresh veg broccoli or greens but to be honest im happy eating frozen. The only time I eat fresh veg is when I make homemade soups

Salads, so sadly, are not my friend.  I have to have cooked veggies when I am doing well, too.  And I am now not eating broccoli or kale either cooked or otherwise.

I had frozen mixed veg today and so far so good. My partner had sprouts and kale which l cant eat so trial and error

I manage banana skinned pear and melon the one without seeds
