I am confused....
I have Menieres Disease and as far as I know the symptoms such as dizziness, nausea and headaches occur during flare ups which can last a few minutes up to several hours. Tinnitus and hearing loss can occur all the time (which they do)...
I seem to be dizzy with confusion, find it difficult to focus, and have brain fog ALL THE TIME.... is this typical of Menieres or could it be something else....?
I don't have headaches with my Menieres. Also I don't get confused. Before I was diagnoised they tested me for MS and all kinds of other diseases which thankfully I didn't have. Did they test you for anything else?
I suffered from Menieres and after treatment I continued to feel dizzy and suffer brain fog for a lot / most of the time. My GP felt it was down to my body being stressed from the Menieres over a period of years and the treatment I had. At first I did not believe this and was looking to pin the symptoms on something with a physical causation. After scans and other investigations no diagnosis was forthcoming.
I came to the conclusion after over a yeaar that the causaation was mostly down tothe stress. Whilst I did not waant medication I did look at other ways of managing the stress e.g. mindfulness and have to say that reduction in my symptoms is significant.
Whist I cannot say that my experience is aapplicable to youI would encourage you to consider stress as a causative factor. If it may be then get help. Good luck.
I feel these same symptoms but I also get the Vertigo (spinning of the room) The spinning deminishes but the nausea and dizziness continues for days. Today is my 3rd day and it is very uncomfortable
