For about a month I've been feeling really off balance, dizzy when I go out, headache and pressure behind eyes and jaw... My teeth hurt and my jaw has popping sounds. I wouldn't say I have a headache- it's more just pressure in my face and jaw area. Does this sound like TMJ?
Could be, but it's equally likely to be chronic sinusitis in the maxillary sinuses. I had this on and off for years. You don't necessarily have a runny nose or other cold symptoms with sinusitis. Maybe see your doctor about it?
I did think maybe sinusitis but didn't realise it could be without a runny nose etc... Would it last for this long and cause dizziness? Thank you for your reply x
I had chronic sinusitis for three months! I didn't get any cold symptoms or runny nose at all till it kind of "broke through" (I don't want to be too disgusting) and everything flooded out. I got all kinds of symptoms of headache, dizziness, pain in my teeth, ear and face, sensations of things moving in my head when I bent forward etc.
I still think it would be a good idea to see your doctor, especially if there's a possibility of sinusitis. It's not good to carry a load of infected material inside your head. And if it is TMJ, your doctor can put you on the road to getting it diagnosed and treated.
