Hi I've been feeling dizzy & off balance, head &neck pain, feeling sick all the time & find it so hard to eat & been in a confused sate since this happened almost 2 weeks ago. I've had my bloods done but came ok. anyone else been feel8ng the same & if so what could it be? I'm feeling so low & depressed as I hate the confused feel8ng as I have two young children to care for sad

Oh Anita so sorry for you. I cannot imagine how hard life is for you with two littlies to look after. I have had vertigo but it is much improved. I am still,having some dizziness though. My confidence is at an all time low with osteoporosis and other conditions as well. I am 70 so not having responsibilities not you do and a husband who looks after me.

Hi anita ive been feeling like that for a year even lost my job over it have you seen e.n.t or a neurologist ive had an mri scan nothing showed i am now on notriptilene and prozac as it made me go into depression this site is fab cos it made me feel alone till i found this site chin up hope you get better soon x

I can cope with dizziness as I've had it on & off for years & know it always gets better it's just the confused state that scares me so much as ive never had that with it before. and If can just get rid of the confused state I could cope better doctor just says it sound viral I'm not sure if the not eating as I just feel so sick & totally lost my appite which as resulted in me losing a lot of weight in a week which I can't afford to lose as I'm not very big anyway

Hi no I've only had the bloods done. Doctor keeps saying he thinks it's viral. It's just so frustrating when you don't know what is wrong with you & such a shock to cope with as it just comes out the blue. Have you also been having the confusion? so sorry you lost your job must have been awful for. I've been lucky as I'm at full time mom. Hope you also get better soon

It just come on me out of the blue i despise it makes me feel im losing my mind where im so confused keep going back to your doctor again and again and again tell him you need to see a consultant x

It's like I know where I am & who everyone is & I'm able to function but everything seems strange like your in a dream if that make sense! does your come on and off? I have to go to see my doctor tomorrow to see him. thank you

Yes i really feel as if im not in my body i know that sounds strange and wen ppl talk to me i cant really listen my eyes are really bad to read too x

Sorry to keep asking you loads of questions! how long does your last at a time? my eyes are ok. Is your doctor going to do some more test for you as not good if it's affecting you eye sight x

I have been dealing with the same symptoms as you for 3 years now. I know exactly how you feel it scares me to dealth everyday. Only thing I find that helps is deep tissue massage but it doesn't last very long. I have done all these tests too and nothing I am so frustrated and confused.

Mine is constant bute i never have a break ive even tried a homeopath and spititual healing but still the same got to wait to see a neuro audiologist now god knows how long as i waited 8mths to see a neuro x

I would head to an ear nose and throat specialist. I had the same symptoms start four weeks ago. I was just about to leave on holidays when I felt suddenly dizzy and nauseous. I have good and bad days, but it feels like I'm in a dream and my balance is off. I have had other random symptoms which made the whole thing really confusing (rash for a few days, weakness in arms, just feeling "off&quot. It caused me anxiety too. I was diagnosed with vestibular neuritis. My ent specialist explained it to me and it made my appetite come back/majority of my anxiety go away. Have a little read up and see if the symptoms fit you. Basically it means damage has been caused (by a virus) to the nerve which affects balance and the brain has to now compensate for the loss by retraining itself to balance again. Ent specialist said I should stop feeling off in 6-8 weeks because I'm young (24 years old). Full 100% recovery in 12 months.

Oh and it comes in waves for me. I can be good for hours then it just hits me like "woah" and can last a couple of minutes to a few hours sometimes.

Hi Lauren thank you for your reply. I've just been back to the doctors he's sending me for a brain scan as he says I have a lot of tension all around my head & neck which don't seem to ease off he's also given me Gabapentin to try to if that will take away some of the tension. I will aso have a read up thank you x

So glad to find this discussion as I am suffering the same symptoms. It's been going on for the past 5 months now. So frustrating because I am a mother of three, 37 years old. Been to the doctors several times and he said he suspected gastritis. I hate this state as am not myself anymore. Am well one minute, the next am totally confused. I have become forgetful,upper stomach pains, My left arm feels numb, dizziness, neck and shoulder pain. Feeling sick although nothing comes out. Am so worried that things might get bad and a hidden diseases might go unnoticed. Any cure yet?

Any word yet on what it could be? I am having the exact same symptoms. I had GBS back in Nov of 15 and a sinus infection about a month ago. My symptoms have been going on for bout 2 months now.

I hope you are completely Ok now.

I have facing the same off balance problem for the second time since 2012.

Could you tell me if you have done any specific treatment or it just got healed on its own (as your Doc said it will get cure in 12months)

I have been suffering for almost a year now,have a really stiff neck daily,dizziness,shortness of breath,confusion and also a very irritable stomach.I also constantly feel like I have a cold.

This has totally changed my life,

I have 3 kids and have gone from a healthy active dad to a dad that is like a 80 year old grandpa.I am not confident in my mobility and feel constantly dizzy and weak.

I also am suffering from an upset stomach for almost a year and often get a feeling as though the earth moved under my feet,my body constantly twitches in weird places as well.I have had extensive investigations(ct of head,chest and stomach,endoscopy,ultrasounds,sleep study,X-ray,echo scan and holster test of heart,multiple bloods,chiro 2x per week and have seen a psychologist and tried anti depressants for months with no results.Amnow trying gluten and lactose free diet as well.Ive basically come to the conclusion I am gonna just feel crap forever.
