Hi, I'm a 47 yr old female, and getting more worried than anything. I've been dealing with acid reflux and nausea for a long time, which I'm being treated for with Zofran and now 300 mg of Zantac. Last week I started too get a stomach ache out of no where. Then a couple of days ago the pain worsened, and after eating a bowl of Lucky Charms, I threw up green vomit. I did see my dr 3 days before, but ok enough to go, and he pressed on my belly everywhere. Everyone was scaring the crap out of me saying to go to ER it's your gallbladder. I did not have back pain, but the pain in my abdomen was below my belly button. I've been having regular bowel movements no trace of blood that I could see. I called my dr and that's when he upped my Zantac from 100 mg too 150 mg twice a day. My belly feels a little better, and he wants me too get an Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, but didn't tell me too go to ER. I'm starving and I don't even know what to eat at this point, and I'm scared too eat now. Worrying on top of all of this doesn't help, and I have depression as it is. Does anyone have any suggestions of what too eat?? I've heard horrid stories if your gallbladder bursts. Please help me out if anyone knows what I can do.
Ask your doctor for help - they may recommend c. B. The to help you to eat. You need to eat other wise you will make matters worse. Good luck.
Try to eat bland foods. Avoid anything rich, spicy, fatty or processed. Don't google anything. You could always ask for an ultrasound to scan your gallbladder or a HIDA scan which will tell you if your gallbladder is healthy or not. Keep a food diary to see what foods may be triggering pain. If upping your medication has helped a bit, this is good news for you.
