Few words about my health, Generally I am a quite healthy person and up to one point of my life I used to always work out. One year ago I managed to get a biceps tear (car accident) after the rehabilitation I stopped working out and transformed from being “skin and bones” to having a “small belly”, no more visible abs for me, and my abdominal muscles gone soft.
One month ago as a normal insane person decided to move a heavy piano by my self that is when my pains in my abdominal muscle (on the right side multiple places, but mostly just above my pelvis) started.
I checked my self multiple times for unusual lumps but nothing that I can put my finger on mostly if there are lumps they are my muscles. I asked a person who want to nursing school as well and she toled me that nothing that she can find.
What do you think it is developing hernia or something else?? I should add that digestive system is not the strongest part in my bode (I suffer from Dysbiosis) can that be linked ??
thank you for your time
From what I read about Dysbiosis, one of the forms, not sure what form you have, but abdominal distention is one of the signs. You should probably talk with your Doctor and find out, he/she should know if it is and also be able to check for anything else. You can't always feel all hernias. And don't anymore pianos or heavy thinga alone. Good luck.
Thank You for the reply but I never have experience Dysbiosis pains like I am experiencing currently. it's hard to define it is pain I would describe it as sometimes stinging and feeling uncomfortable. Guess I should go to a doctor and get a check up, When I will return from my vacation meanwhile I will return to my paranoias.
As for lifting heavy weights, I think it is very hard to avoid for a young male. For example I did not intended to move the piano but it was mocking me and telling me "after my arm injury I became weak. So I was like F you piano I will show you how Weak I am
Anyway thank you
Funny, so you showed that piano. I am laughing. From what I know about hernias, and know of a couple people who have had them...they have no painful feelings. Someone I know has a double hernia and has had them for a few years and he was warned not to continue to strain and lift heavy things but he too, continues and never has any pain from it. In fact never know they were there until a regular check up and the doctor found them. Possible you could have torn tendons or something with the stinging feeling. Seeing the doctor is probably a very good idea. Good luck.
Yes, I showed that piano Who's the Boss.
Thank You for the information
.
Hi from jazztrain
Who can confirm whether it is a hiatus hernia or not - I say this as I went to Papworth on 30th June as I have an IPF; it surprised me when they said I had a Hiatus Hernia and prescribed Lansoprazole 15mg 1 per day?
Yet I have no symptoms - I do not get any form of Indigestion, Reflux etc and my drinking habits of 3 cans of Special Brew a day don't cause me any discomfort - so are they trying to get me off this so called dreaded grog!
However, they say I will probably have to go on 'Pirfenidone' shortly, because of this IPF however, after visiting my GP in Ipswich because of the cost, he says he can't prescribe it as the medication is not on the Ipswich Register of Drugs? So who will!
I know this doesn't help you but I would try and get a second opinion to confirm what you have been told. I certainly are going to query mine. He also says that as a can of Special Brew contains 4.5 units of alcohol I would be better off drinking Whisky as a 70cl bottle of the blended stuff contains only 28 units? Yet I believe Whisky will do me more harm than the Special Brew - so I believe it comes down to the old addage of; keep taking what you know and like?
At my age of 70 why shouldn't I eat and drink what I like as long as there are no outward signs of medical problems.
Kind regards
Respect, still hitting weights at the age of 70, Thank you for the information. Tomorow I am going to my GP see what will she tell me.
Hi from jazztrain
Wish you well and please let me know how you get on.
Kind regards
Mister Jazztrain thank you very much for you kindness, they ran a few tests, and they are telling me I have a nasty sprain that should be treated fast or I might develop Hernia.
Thank you again for your kindness and I wish you the best of health and I hope you will win in the tournament you are competing I am rooting for you.
Hi loseb. Not Mister jazztrain, but was keeping up with what you found. Nice that it isn't any worse than the sprain, as painful as that alone can be. Hopefully it will heal well and you can get back to moving things. Carefully.
all in good humor.
Hi jazztrain
There is another phrase that came to mind...don't fix what isn't broken.
What I have read about Hiatus Hernia, there are no symptoms. You also do not have to have reflux with a hiatus hernia they can accompany one another or exist individually.
I am not a doctor, but I would agree that you should be able to do what you have if it isn't bothering you.
Unless there is another reason they want you off your "special brew"
Either way keep enjoying your life.
Hi KA65
I go back to Papworth on 3rd October so will let everyone know how I am getting on.
Keep well or put another way, hope your problems don't get any worse.
Jazztrain
KA65 Thank you very much for showing concern for a random person on the internet, It is very pleasent to know that people like you and jazztrain are using World Wide Web.
I hope it will heal fast, because there is a Cabinet that is looking at me awkwardly right now.
I should add thought that doctor told me that for a month I should not streace that part of my body.
Thank you Jazztrain. It would be great to know how it goes for you. As for me I do fine. I don't let it get to me.
Do not make eye contact with the cabinet....for at least a month that is.
Not sure about that "people like myself and jazztrain and using the www" but it's not rocket science.
. Concern for others is just some people's nature. Thank you though. Don't forget, look away from that cabinet. Have a great day.
