Do I have multiplie sclerosis??

Hello peeps, I have done a brain MRI recently and evrything is clear, except for inflammation in the brain revealed by a CT. I have done blood test and my inflammation rate is 65 (normal range 0-10)  and it was quite shocking. SInce one year I have been having hives. And recently I had a panic attack which gave me palpitations, weakness in both arms, leg and whole body shaking and most awfully blurred vision. Recently i had many eye floaters and ophtamo said my eyes is degenerating.

I was admitted in clinic for severe neck spasm fowollwed by numbness evrywhere.

Is all due to anxiety or could me something worst such as multiple sclerosis. Please advise sad

Hi, I don't know anything about the CT results you've had, but your symptoms sound like they could become a stress response, rather than MS. That said, it's customary to do a lumbar puncture, so that a cerebrospinal fluid sample can be tested, looking for oligoclonic bands, and the upper spine is normally MRI'd, looking for lesions on the spinal cords covering. These tests are the accepted diagnostic tools, when MS is suspected. It doesn't seem like your Dr's are looking for MS, which suggests that you aren't presenting as having MS, which is good news! :-)

Hi Wendy thankd for your reply. Nope they only gave heavy doses of inflammatory but even that am still weak not fully recovered from the 'attack'. But is blurred vision caused my stress? At times my vision is blurry asif night has fallen, and at times its clear..am scared of any potential attacks

I only meant that your body's creating a stress response, causing symptoms that may or may not be what's at the root of your problems, sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. Keep a journal of your symptoms, any worries and questions, it could help at medical appointments, record dates, where possible, including start AND any end dates of symptoms (should it turn out to be MS, end dates are as relevant as the start ones). If you haven't already, get your eyes checked by an optician.

I know how awful it is to be dealing with health unknowns, if at all possible, try to find some kind relaxation activity or technique that helps, sometimes a little goes a long way. Keep 'talking' in places like this site, while none of us here, can diagnose what ails you, many of us can identify with your current situation.

Brain inflammation can be a sign of ms and stress can make it worse. don't ask here, ask your physician. You may have dry eyes if you're in UK try viscotears its an easy to use gel. If you take sweetners or eat low fat foods with them in they can inflame your brain. Aspartame, asulfame, or phenylalanine on the ingredients is to be avoided. Please don't get terrified of an Ms diagnosis, its likely its not but you can live a long and good life 🌼🌸
