i nicked the inside of my knee on opposite leg to THR on metal bolt on gate in countryside climbing over 8weeks after THR. It bleed quite a bit and i was able to rinse off in clean water. Concernedas was told to get antibiotics if having dental or hygenist treatment or get infected toenail.

is your tetanus status up to date as well. you may need a booster dose but your Dr / Practice Nurse should be able to advise.
Always worth checking with doctor. Have to say I’m impressed that you were climbing over gates at 8 weeks. At that stage I was still taking things pretty easy.
Yes I’m impressed with gate climbing at 8 weeks! Best get it checked out.

I did thanks and felt a bit silly . The doc said it was fine no need for antibiotics, But i think we need to check things. I think you need to go with your body in what you can do. My aim is to be back windsurfing at 3 months, when consultant said i could.

I remember now that you wanted to get back to wind surfing, and I hope you do. I got back on my skis again, although not until about 8 months post op. (So much better than pre op!) I wish you all the best.
