hi--been on zoloft and prozac, z for 6 months and pro for about 7 weeks. while i know it is helping, it isn't helping as much as i would like. the proz makes me pretty jittery. i went from 60 mg-40-and now i am on 20 mg. i've been very anxious past few days and i am wondering if it's due to lower dose or it's not for me. anyway--my doc has mentioned lexapro as another option. i dont know if i should give it a go or be done with SSRIs. she has also mentioned an older med-nortriplyne (spelling?). any thoughts? how is lexapro different from prozac? thanks!
HI hoped you'd get some replies . Try posting again . Sure someone can help. Would love to help but don't know about this drug. I've had meds for anxiety. I stopped once and should have tapered off .it was hell my anxiety felt worse . Also my doc is great he knows people with anxiety can get addicted as we want anything to make horrid feeling better so he only gives me small amount of meds. They won't cure us they just help mask it for a while . I only take when I'm heart racing,getting no peace at all from anxiety ❤️
I JUST started Lexapro, just meaning within the last week, and so far, it's working. It's the first anxiety medication I have started and I started out by taking 1/4 of the dose I was prescribed (doctor's orders) and I can already tell somewhat of a difference. And haven't noticed any symptoms yet. I would definitely recommend it because I've heard a lot of good about it myself.

I only take diazapam . Only when my anxiety is bad bad, likecheart racing( shaky) head racing. Doc doesn't give me too many. They relax my anxiety enough for me to push on and do stuff. Will never take too many meds again. Now know they can help but if I start relying on them life's even worse. ❤️
