Hi. I'm a 19 yr old girl who's had a large amount of non specific symptoms for about 7 yrs that have been diagnosed as CFS.
I've known that I have hormonal issues for about 3 yrs now, so last May I came off my BCP and have discovered my periods are irregular.
I got my GP to do my hormone testing:
Estradiol: 94 pg/mol (day 4)
LH: 2.1 (day 4)
LH: 0.8 or 1.8 (day 1) (sorry I can't remember which one it was!!! GYN described it as nice and low)
FSH: 2.1 (day 1)
My TSH is about 1.5 and my FT4 and FT3 are right at the bottom of the range. My prolactin is also directly on the border of being 'low'.
My numbers have always been awkward like this, despite me showing dozens of worsening hypothyroid symptoms for years and years. My most recent symptom is chronic paronychia on my toenails which will need surgery. My stomach hasn't been able to absorb key nutrients for nearly 5 years now with no found cause.
These numbers suggest to me that I have hypopit, as more FSH isn't being sent out to increase my estradiol. However I was referred to an OBGYN about it who told me there was no cause for concern.
That has kind of knocked my confidence about seeing anyone else about it - I haven't spoken to anyone else about the research I've done so it would be nice if someone shared my suspicions...
(I also believe I have GH deficiency and ACTH deficiency due to my joint pain, and the fact I basically stopped growing at 13. The problem is that I was always a tall child so when I stopped growing, people didn't think anything of it because I am still average height 5'5. I also have what I recognise to be episodes of fasting hypoglycemia.)
Thank you for any responses!
