do you need to treat type 1 and type 2 the same?

So I've been diagnosed with type 1(originally thought type 2) which i'm 99% sure that i got it from my current partner. What I'm wanting to know is do i need to be as careful with kissing etc if he already has it, f**k how do i go about this.

Ok then based on that you have genital hsv 1 not oral so your obs will be down south not on your mouth 😊 So you'll be fine kissing

Kiss all you want! HSV 1 is nothing to worry about. Maybe don’t kiss or give oral when you have a noticeable sore. So many people have HSV 1... it’s no biggie
