I had a yeast infection two months ago and suddenly small blisters started to appear on my labia majora and I freaked out. My initial response was "Is this herpes?". I am sexually active and only had sex with two guys. I decided to do an STD blood test (Igg only) two months ago and to my surprise, the results came out negative. My OBGYN did a swab test and told me a few weeks later that I had Vaginal Candidiasis and that I should take Vitamin E and Probiotics everyday. So I thought, yeah that would make more sense so I didn't worry much about contracting herpes.
But then again, until now, I still keep getting 2-3 blisters (some hurt, some don't) every month and it usually coincides with my period which is the worst thing that could happen to anyone. And the blisters become super itchy! I went back to my OBGYN and she told me that my blisters were more like boils and it could be caused by hormonal changes and stress. But I've never had it before even when I was stressed back then! When I checked with an STD specialist, she said this could be herpes. So both specialists had different opinions! She decided to give me Aciclovir and see her again next week for a check. I am currently on Aciclovir but I have yet to see any changes so far.
And now I'm freaking out again! It has been such a rollercoaster ride for the past two months. I'm worried that I might actually have herpes. Do you think I should get re-tested again now or wait for a few more months to do that? All I wanna know is that am I herpes-free or not, it's frustrating
