Hello,
I have been diagnosed with HSV-2 since 2013. I just wanted to take the time to share my experience.
I have had a total of 4 sexual partners all in which i did not use condoms but did not catch anything. I remained with my fourth partner since 2006 and are still together today. We have had our ups and down in which led to us breaking up and separating occasionally.
Well in the year of 2013 after we eventually kissed and made up, we decided to have unprotected sex one night. ( I mean why not?, we have only known each other for 7 years, right?? Wrong.) Little did i know that the person who i had trusted for a few years now, had lied to me about meeting another partner and used unprotected sex.
So, a few weeks later i felt an itch on my penis, I had looked super close and did not see anything what-so-ever. Not a cut, scratch, bump, rash, or redness... nothing... but it itched like CRAZY!!! It was so intense that it was really hard to concentrate. Well a few days after that i began to notice what appeared to look like small tiny little pimples on the shaft of my penis, surrounded with redness and itching sensation. It was really unbareable at this point.
I eventually mustard up enough courage to go in and see a doctor about my condition. I had done a little reasearch before going to the doctors and was on almost every website you can google about STD's... As much as i prayed and hoped it would NOT be herpes... The doctor ultimately concluded that i had contracted HSV-2.
He prescribed me some pain medication and told me to keep it clean and dry.
I felt like my world was over right then and there...
I wanted to scream as loud as possible because no matter how careful i was... no matter how safe i tried to be... i still ended up being the stupid one who did not wear condoms like everyone has told me once before...
SIGHS**
but know this...
You're... Not... Alone..... Yes it sucks, but hey at least your still alive right?!?
Now that you have it... Its time to learn how to control it... Be smart... Be safe... Understand your body and how it works...
We call these "bumps" and "sores" OUTBREAKS... It's been 4 months since my last outbreak and i can tell when im about to get them before they happen... HOW? Because i know my body... and not everyones body is the same so not everyone will have the same outcome or experience..
Ive done research about home remedys to help treat and prevent outbreaks BUT... i stop them BEFORE they ulserate and only if they are a small quantity...
IF YOU HAVE A LARGE NUMBER OF OUTBREAKS THEN PLEASE GET OFF THIS WEBSITE AND GO VISIT A DOCTOR!!!!!
Now ladies, I dont know if the way i treat myself will work the same for females, but these are a few things that i use on myself to prevent, treat, and heal my outbreaks...
Preventative:
*Toothpaste mint paste (I personally used this method to dry out the outbreak, it works for me and I will tell you now, it will leave an after cooling sensation on your genitals, so be warned.)
*Gold Bond Pain & Itch Relief Cream with Lidocaine.
*Bengay, Menthol Pain Relieving Gel, Vanishing Scent ( I've personally experienced that anything with "Menthol" will help dry out the outbreak.)
Treament:
*Any Healing Ointment / Skin Protectant / Petroleum Gel (Used for dry skin preferred better than average skin lotion.)
Keep yourself Clean and Dry with baggy clothing and feel a breeze between the legs.
Healing:
Vitamin E Oil (Helps heal damaged skin and prevents scars).
Of, course there are numerous websites, products and medicine out there that you can buy instead...
Here are a few websites incase you need to be pointed in the right direction.

Long story short... i am going to tell you what was once told to me.... and that's....
"If your on here researching about herpes, then it's probably likely that you have them for sure"....
but hey... i'm not a doctor.. and i pray that you dont have HSV-2 like me... and if you dont end up having it, then please wear a condom next time...
Thank you for reading, If you have questions for me please dont hesistate to ask...
