So you have NC. I think that last one must have set a record!
Can't help on the double dose question but i wouldn't have thought the side effects would be any worse than before. Flu has already soaked into your system, this will hopefully give you a boost.
As you can see sleep is not high on my agenda.
Hello,
I have been on Fluoxetine for quite a while now. I did get some mild side effects when I first started. I too have had my dosage doubled to 40 mg. I was nervous about the increase and risk of side effects. It has been a while now and no significant/noticeable side effects. All I do get is a little nausea if I take my tablets and do not have a decent breakfast soon after. They began to help me feel better about 7-10 days after taking 40mg. I hope they work for you like they have for me.
Take Care Everyone.
Fruitloop, thanks for the heads up.
MP - up at 1am? oh dear! hope you got some sleep. I had a restless night because it was the first night I wore my new mouth guard (to help stop me grinding my teeth at night) but managed to sleep in the end.
Am hoping the 40mgs work soon.
Will keep you updated.
I am having one of those mornings today. I seem to have posted the same item twice, oops! The fingers cannot keep up with the brain today.
Sorry everyone I have done it again!!!!! I do not know, what with double dose of meds, now double what I write, what next???? I wonder where is my payslip??? lol. I think I will go and get some more sleep as I keep nodding off while at the computer.
hope you getting some sleep fruit loop, did make me giggle to see you have done a couple of entries twice today!!! hope u feel more rested xx
Hi everyone,
I've hust went through all yours post.. And have a question..
Because I am takieng prozac currently for two years. At the beggining worked brilliently ofcourse, but after some time I started feel lower and lower.. then my doctor increase my 20 mgr to 40 mgr.. But after I started feel better again she decrease them to the first place.. after a few mth now I fell so dawn again... I am scared, don't know if I should go and ask for more...? Or I am addicted already???
((
I think you should go back again. I mean if 40mg helped you feel good then you should stick with what you know is good. I was wondering if I was expecting too much from the drug but my doctor said that it should be better than I was feeling, especially after 3 months so I think go back and at least ask.
xx
Oh and I meant to say I dont think you can be addicted.
And a question, did you get the side effects again when you went from 20 to 40 mgs?
x
Eh, I don't remember side effects to be honest.. I asked my doctor if it's going to be any and she said not really.. You know for sure is nothing compare to the first expirience with a that sort of drugs...
I hate waiting for a next day, you know?!
And my life seems all to be like that.. I don't know. I don't uderstand it.
I want to be full healthy.. I am loseing my hope sometimes.
Scared to be addicted. Scared to do more drugs.. ((
Hey Madziaraf,
I feel exactly the same - every day im just wating and getting anxious about the next one worrying what it'll bring.
Ive been like this for about 4 weeks and its like Groundhog Day...i want it to end but im not sure how or when it will. Im on 20mg Flu and am considering asking for a higher dosage as my moods are all over the place, im having regular anxiety attacks and just want it all to be over.
Im not scared to be addicted, if they are helping me then im happy to take them.
Dont be affraid to do more drugs, as long as they are prescribed then (hopefully) they will do more good than harm. I have faith in my doctor and really hope im on the right stuff as i am sure you are too!! :?
I am going to see my doctor straight after work now..
We'll see what she says...... :?:
Hello one and all.
When i spoke to my doc when first prescribed with flu, i asked the addicted question. He said in the olden days before flu, the prescribed drugs could be addictive but one of the pluses with flu (and there aren't that many!) is that it is NOT addictive.
Just thought i'd pass that on.
So Madziaraf, have you been to docs? What they say? Hope you feeling ok.
I have been taking double dose for only 4 days but today (after a struggle to get going this morning) I am feeling quite good! Its amazing, I feel quite positive and clear(ish) headed for once! I hope it lasts!
They are not addictive, if you begin to have the same feelings after reducing or coming off the dose it just means the underlying depression is still there and you need a little longer.
Better to get really well than reduce too early and plummet back down again I think??
Hope u feel better soon
hey, yeah.. Started taking double dose..
Feel up and dawn all the time.. I don't know.
A bit jumping picture (view in my eyes) couple first days as a side effect..
Waiting for thenm start to work. Next week going to doctor once again.
how are you *no celebration?
I am ok, see my post about not being able to cry though! Its a normal enough reaction I guess, its just really not very nice.
Let me know how it goes for you.
