So I was feeling a burning sensation while urinating one day and decided to take a look. I saw a sore on my urethra and labia & freaked out. Went to two different doctors (one a ob-gyn, another a family nurse practitioner) and they both said it was not herpes, but skin irritation. I've been feverish, muscle aches, body aches for a day. However, I also had a fecal impaction (constipation) as well. It was very hard for me to pass stool. But back to the urinary problems. The family nurse practitioner didn't believe it was a uti because there's no bacteria in my urine. I got the lesion swabbed to make sure. I've had my hair down there sugared (sort of like waxed) off, I've used this new stuff to prevent ingrown hairs down there. I know it's got lactic acid and sacliyic acid in the product. I've had rough sex with my bf in a monogamous relationship. He has tested negative for herpes last month. There are no lesions in his private area. He doesnt get cold sores. But he has also never givem me oral sex. I'm just unsure. Maybe I should get a 3rd opinion? I get paranoid about contracting herpes all the time. I don't engage in risky sexual behaviors with new partners all the time, but it seems as if herpes is one of those things you can catch with or without a condom from skin to skin contact. I just don't know anymore. Generalized anxiety disorder will be the death of me. 😥🤔😦

You got it swabbed and presumably it came back negative, otherwise you would have said, so there's no reason to be so worried. Do an IgG test at 3+ months if you need the added reassurance.
calm down, you don't seem to have herpes at all unless your boyfriend cheats on you recently (at least for the last 3 months). you're just over anxious, if you've been swabbed and the result is negative. It would be alright..
