I've got what I'm 99% sure is my 4th large ovarian cyst :'( (scan on Monday to see what's going on). GP has prescribed naproxen, tramadol, codeine and amitriptyline to see what works. Codeine is pretty ineffective for me and naproxen and tramadol combined seems to be the best combo and what I've had previously to cope with the pain. I've never had amitriptyline and a bit scared by all the side effects and not sure if it'll help even. Wondering what other people's experiences are of amitriptyline for ovarian cyst pain? Was it effective? What side effects did you find with it?
hi , i have used this medication before for pain and found it very good , it does make you drownsy , you can increase tablets to find how many you need i was taking four at one point , but one might be enough
