I know we all have some anxiety BUT spouse is highly anxious. He's had an ear/jaw problem since June---and has been to about 5 doctors since. No wax, hearing is OK-- could be TMJ, could be allergies.. I bought a mouth guard for him but he doesn't want to use it. Also going for an allergy test in a few days (Dr. #6 now). Now I'm thinking he is not making it up but perhaps making it a bigger deal than it is. Just don't know what to think anymore.
health anxiety definitely tends to produce negative thinking, however your spouse may have an ear or jaw problem regardless of the anxiety. Let him get any tests that are needed and after that if everything comes out OK you might want to suggest him getting some counseling for anxiety.
I noticed my ear and jaw problems get worse when stressed. How is his posture. I have horrible posture. slouch shoulders forward and hang neck makes all of these issues worse.
Thank-you!!! Yes, he still believes it’s something else but I know it’s anxiety. Dr has given him antidepressants but won’t take it. I guess he has to figure that out on his own-if he ever does. Ugh
