Hi

It sounds as though you have restless leg syndrome. ask your doctor, he can give you meds.

What is it like do your legs just all of a sudden have like a spazem ? Are you on any meds ?

Yes your legs have a mind of their own, mine has gone now, but I know someone that takes meds for it and it works.

Hi I think I've go social anxiety not been diagnosed yet but that's when my anxitey come on when I'm socialising been on sertraline for 14 weeks and it's still thief what's your problem and do u have any advice PLEASE ?

Look you have to realise that this is anxiety, and nothing more. Just think about it, you have had a different ailment everyday. This is because you have become super sensitive to every little thing, and this is what anxiety does.

We all get little aches and pains everyday, but combine an ache or pain with anxiety the result is what your going through, trust me  I,v been there.

Over the next few days when something is bothering you, just calmly say to yourself, "I dont need to think of anything that is not important"

This is why you need little activities to do, these are important and will need your attention, baking, running , walking, swimming ,cycling, house work. just try it over the next few days and note when your mind is concentrating on something your anxiety and the problems it brings disappear, and with practice the longer they will stay away

You seem clued up on this anxitey just wondering if you have any advice for me I've had anxitey for two years now been on sertraline 15 weeks now up and down time when I go out still think people are looking at me funny and keep looking in the mirrow and I think I look down and have black ring around my eyes any advice please

Don't be scared but do go to your doctor as you may have what is know as "restless leg syndrome" as Maureen also says, but you need a proper diiagnosis.

Thank u so much Nick I really hope u rite,  it's awful my head feels likes it going 2 explode with everything like I'm going loopy it's awful 😢 I'm so Fed up of  not being my normal self n just wish I was like I was b4 :-( I can't do this its doing me in, how do u manage it, I'm scared stiff x

The same principle, its your anxiety that makes you think others are looking at you, think about it logically, as someone said in a post recently, the anxiety is illogical it will tell you that everyone is looking at you, logic tells you there not. It will take practice to learn to go with logic, and to walk past a mirror and not look in it, when anxiety makes what we think seem so real,

Anxiety is a liar,

its lying to us every time we give it attention. If you knew someone who just kept lying to you all day everyday, it wouldn't take you long to decide to keep away from that person.

Spot on maureen, I have had restless leg syndrome since I was diagnosed 30 years ago with obstructive sleep apneoa. It is a mild form of epilepsy. Lots of medication to treat it and without side effects. Peter.

Great reply nick, wish everyone thinks that way and be positive for once. Peter.

Many thanks you've made me look at it in a different way going to practice it hopefully things will get better THANKS

Thank u very muc nick, do u suffer with it still or have u beat it x

Have you tried breathing techniques to calm yourself down, I use one where I breath in through nose count to 4 and out slowly through the mouth and repeat only count to 7 time, repeat again and count to 8. then start again 4,7,8. The breathing out slowly calms you spend 5 to 10 mins doing it.

Counting to 4,7,8 keeps your mind on the breathing, it works

I use it when Im stressing or stuck in a traffic jam

Will try counting, I just breathe in & blow out n carry on doing that, my mind at mo is thinking so silly things n then I try remember n can't :-( it's really doing my head in x

Getting through it, had a rough year, and hope im over the worst of it and put my trust in logical thinking, a lot of little steps and keeping active

My minds the same run at 100 miles a hour about silly things if u don't mind me asking what do u think about ?

Mine will a make a fool of myself at work

What do people think of me

How do I look

Do I look down

Things like that

Are you taking any meds ?

Yes 20mg citalopram 8 months
