Does anyone else have symptoms triggered by drinking water?

I find pretty much everything sets off my IBS. Food, exercise, showering, napping and even simply drinking a glass of water (or any liquid for that matter). I have small, flat, broken stools and pretty much anything I do moves them along and triggers varying levels of discomfort and urgency. Usually the urge to go is quite weak. Sometimes when I go to the toilet a lot comes out, and sometimes very little or nothing at all. It's very annoying feeling like I need to go after every meal, after every walk I go for, and after every glass of water I drink. Is anyone else's gut this sensitive?

Could it be caused by compacted stool, Talk to your GP, there are medications that may help. If constipated try Figs they can loosen the bowel, Olive oil on food and changing diet may also help.

This is the exact problem I have, there seems to be no end as to what makes it bad, however I am visiting the toilet 5-9 times a day. I have found eating small amounts regularly and refraining from meals has helped. Also I have been recommended by my doctor that exercise such as cardio is a trigger to work the guts and so I have stayed away from this also, swimming is a better option to help the gut.

Swimming is very good for exercise I used to swim around thirty five lengths every three days. Try and make sure you take enough liquids that can also help you go to the toilet and loosen those stools. Olive oil can also lubricate the bowel and personally I never need anything that is chemical in makeup Senocot can also work. Whatever yu decide if things do not work like things above. Take advice from your GP

At times, anything, liquid or good, can trigger cramps, pain, rush calls.  I have IBS with diarrhea & constipation - most people seem to get one or the other.  Colestipol has helped control my diarrhea & urgency - sometimes works better than others.
