So I wasn't getting many side affect at first, just super tired all the time. I've been on the medicine for 4 weeks or so now and I've been getting tingles in the left foot, what feels like numbness in my left pinky, and my hands keep shaking. Does anyone else get these symptoms? I refuse to read the side affects of the medication because I will start thinking I'm going to get them all. Please let me know. Thanks.
I've been on this pill at a low dose for 4 weeks today, only 5 mg I'm very fatigued yet, no tingling or shaking, anxious yes, anything and everything worries me yet but they say give it another couple weeks. I'm so ready to feel like myself again soon and if this pill does it for me, I guess great, I hate talking pills though, never wanted to do that in my life. Good luck but as everyone is saying, "give it time, don't give up it will work" I say hope they are all right!
Did you have anxiety before? I didn't before taking this drug, but taking this I had uncontrolable anxiety - I hope if that is what it is it does pass for you. My sister-in-law had anxiety and panic attacks not much depression this med worked for her not me.
Hi you sound just like me as far as not reading side effects. I've been on cit for about 9 months most side effects are gone but I do wake up kinda shaky in the mornings. Shaky hands. I'd say you're just having side effects. Other than that the pills have worked wonders for me
I've been on celexa for about two months and the results as far as emotion goes have been quite good, but my hands DO shake and I suffered a black out when drinking a beer.
Yes, I've had anxiety for 14 years. It got worse a month ago so my doctor said to try Celexa. It's working fine but the tingling and shakiness start to worry me.
Thank you for all your replies. I Googled just if Celexa will cause shakiness and tingling, so I don't ha e to read ALL the side effects, and it actually does cause it. I called my psychiatrist to see if I cash lower the dose from 30mg to 20mg to see if it helps. Now I'm just waiting for a call back from him.
Yeah I hear drinking while taking these medications is really bad. Hope you're doing better!
I'm glad to hear you're doing good on it! Did you have any tingling too, in hands, arms, feet, legs? Maybe these are just early on side effects that I just have to give time to get through?
When I start feeling anxious I will take Klonopin which helps. But my anxiety is nowhere like it was before I started taking the medicine. I don't like taking medications, and side effects really scare me! Hopefully the longer I'm on the medicine the more the side effects will subside.
Good question. I had so many weird side effects that I just don't remember for sure if I had that tingling sensation or not? I took 10mgs for a week then up to 20mg & that's what I've stayed on. Maybe 20 would be better for you?
I spoke with the psychiatrist today and he told me I need to get off the medication because of the side effects. Now I'm going to Lexapro 10mg. Gotta wean off Celexa for 2 weeks at the same time. Here's to hoping it helps.
Interesting I personally think you haven't been on celexa long enough to see results but then again I'm not a physician lol so what do I know? Hope you have good luck on the new meds. I'll be pulling for you
