Does anyone have an idea. I may have more clues

I think I have 3 kinds of dizziness.

I have MS

I have one where my right side tingles and have a spinning spell.. Lasts about 3 minutes, several times a day.. I think that is a neck or disc thing, maybe a seizure?? Not really sure.

The other dizziness is the all day swaying, bobbing, full head, feeling like I just got done spinning.

This I had for almost 2 months and was doing better so reading alot of posts decided to try and live life.

Went to Disney World.. I am so much worse!! The things I did were elevators, monorail and rides like "it's A Small World" and "Peter Pan". Nothing wild.

What dizzy disease could be provoked by these things? Or maybe all of them do? Just wondering if aomeone has some insight.

I am back to not going out of the house again and feeling devastated.

HUGS to you, Cheryl!

You have symptoms of peripheral neuropathy in your first type and MS doesn't cause that but it can mimic it.  The second two sound like vertigo, maybe BPPV?  That's what I have and elevators wreck me!  Even the one in the mall that goes one story.  Then again, stepping on a really open area escalator going down is so difficult I take the elevator instead. (narrow/enclosed escalators I can manage).  I can go on rides, not that I do, but I steer clear of elevators if at all possible. The rides you were describing are difficult with BPPV because your body is moving one way while you're head is turned another way and the figures are moving all at the same time.

I think you should get checked out and see - there could be medication to help you with the worst of it.  Doing better then getting worse seems to be common, but sometimes you can catch it coming on and minimize it. I wish you well!

Yes elevators are horrible..i wish I could be like the normal person and just get on with no issues.

I'm so sick of dizziness and having hope and then losing it again.. Not to mention, no answers.. Which causes stress not knowing what it is or what to do or not do so I don't set things off.

Hi Cheryl,

I live with vertigo, cannot remember the classification of it, but I do know it is caused from a tiny crystal in a tiny tube in my ear. My first onset was at age 14 and I have been plagued on and off since then with sporadic sudden onset violent spells that last for a minute or two. Then in my mid 40's I awakened one day, stood up out of bed and was slammed back onto the bed with violent dizziness that did not stop and caused hospitalization and 6 or 8 weeks of vertigo physical therapy which helped and the help lasted.

Right now, at age 57, vertigo has become an unwanted companion again and I believe it has recovered from being sedentary over the last several years due to many major surgeries. Falling is not an option for me but everytime I change positions laying down or turn my head or look down...well you know.

So next week I am going to begin vertigo physical therapy again and all of this makes me nauseated constantly and Zophran helps some.

Sorry I cannot answer questions and thanks for an opportunity to voice my misery for there is no one in my life who I can talk to about it except on here and thank God for that.

Well fellow head "swimmer", I wish you the best.
