I got diagnosed with sarcoid a couple of weeks ago after weeks of being ill. But my doctor is now sending me for more tests as he thinks I have fibromyalgia .I ache all over like i have the flu.i also hurt to touch.I feel like my body is burning and it also is quiteitchy at times.I have no energy and feel totally exhausted to the point I can't move my limbs. Does anyone else have this or could it just be from sarcoidosis?
Dear Emma, yes I have both and it sounds as if what you're suffering from is consistent with both illnesses. The pain on certain points is the Fibro and the fatigue is both of them I'm afraid. Your Doctor sounds switched on, I had a good doctor but a lousy consultant till I changed. If there is anything you want to ask please do, I've had Sarcoidosis since 2004 and Fibromyalgia a lot longer so, if I can be of any help please do not hesitate.

Hi,thank you for replying. I had a read up about all the pain points ?and everyone hurts when I push them 
I'm still trying to get my head around sarcoid and now I may something else. I've been off work now for 2months as I just don't have the energy .if I try and do housework it totally wipes me out. I've not even able to take my daughter to school myself. When i do start walking my left leg (the one with a painful foot and ankle) feels false! Is this all normal?I often think people must think I'm making it up as there are so many odd pains!

Sorry to hear you feel so bad, It is so hard when you cannot do things that hae previously been simple everyday tasks. I went from being a complete workaholic to virtuallly bedridden in the space of five years. Its hard but it helps if you try to stay positive and listen to your body when it tells you to rest. I changed to a healthy diet which helped. it wont make it go away though. I am very ill wth gastric problems so life is not good but if I can help in any way message me.

Sounds like we're in very similar positions. I also suffer from sarcoids& my resp cons thinks I'm also suffering from fibromyalgia so has ref me to a rheumatologist & I'm due to see them tmrw. Just hope if it is diagnosed they can do it soon & sort out this pain.
