I am having a terrible time trying to find socks to fit and not feel
so tight.I have bought so many types of socks and in the biggest
size I can find.I am a size 11 U.S women's.Does anyone else have
a problem with socks hurting their feet?

Right now I have a fibroma on the bottom of my foot so I need arch support but have only neenan able to find that in ankle socks. But the elastic in them digs into my skin and my feet swell and hurt. Have you tried men's socks? I can wear regular socks but until I get orthotics for my shoes I was looking into seeing if they would fit me better.
Yes, I have to buy socks that are loose at the top. Look for socks geared to the diabetics. The descriptions might say "non-binding" , or "won't impair circulation", or something along those lines.
Hi Kiki, thanks for answering.I have my husband's socks I wear
in the winter as they are thicker and keep my feet warm. But
after a short while I have to take them off, they feel heavy.
I'm not familiar with a fibroma? I'm just wondering if the
fibro can make our feet swell slightly as this is fairly new
in the last year.Or are they making socks smaller :0)
Yes, i i have been buying wide fit socks as the elastic digs in my ankles, problem that it is not always so when not a problem they won't stay up.
Hi Cathy,that's an idea I hadn't thought about.Thanks.
I have been buying the cooling socks as I call them, they
are in the foot powder section at big box store, don't know
if I can mention the store but think Wally.I do like them as
they are low cut but they seem to shed balls of fluff inside
and then you have that wad up and are walking on little
balls which with fibro can cause discomfort.I will try your
wonderful suggestion
What brand is it you buy.I have tried the wide fit in women's
when I can find the bigger size 11.I live in the southern plains
so in a few month's won't be wearing them and will be happy
going barefoot again yaaay
Yes!! Very painful and annoying! I have some foot problems along with my fibromyalgia and it is very difficult to find socks that don't leave a painful ridge around my ankles. I usually wear a size 61/2-7 shoe and I do best with the low cut "no show" type, but they aren't good for snow or real cold weather. I loved the "slouch socks" from the 1980's! They were perfect! I have been looking for some on line. No luck so far, but not giving up!
Hi roy,I'm sorry you and others who have responded are dealing
with same issues, but I'm glad I'm not alone.Wow slouch socks
those are classic socks for sure have you tried wally world.
I have seen them in my area store.I think the diabetic socks
that Cathy suggested is a good idea.I don't think they will leave
ridges, which hurts.I'll be glad when warm weather gets here
but then my feet will get hot haha. Can't win can we
