Does anyone here use Thyro Gold?

It is made from cow thryoid and you can buy it on line from New Zealand.

No I have not heard of this?, however there is another natural thyroid which is a pigs thyroid which is supposed to be good aswell.

I was wondering if you have hot sweats because mine are awful !!! However I am trying black cohosh from Healthspan as this is supposed to be good at stopping hot sweats involving the hormones , which mine have been affected quite badly . I am on my first month they do seem a bit better but I do still get them???

Anyway good luck with your natural thyroid.  Carole.

I had the sweats for almost 2 years, and one day they stopped abruptly.   I had to sleep with fans and open windows even in winter as the sweats were so bad. The removal of the thyroid pushed me into menopause.  What helped a bit was progestrone natural cream.

I would be very sceptical about buying prescription drugs on internet because you could be sold ANYTHING . Many people have had problems ( not necessarily with thyroid treatments) this way and have ended up in hospital because what they were sold had no active ingredient in it and on one occasion even had faeces!

Hot sweats mean your dose needs to be taken down a notch.

You can always put it back up again in winter.My endocrinologist told me this so I know what I'm talking about!

Thyro Gold is a dietary thyroid supplement and doesn't require a prescription.  I too would be leary about buying prescription medications over the Internet but a lot of people do get medication from Canadian companies because it is A) cheaper, B) easily available where it is not in the US.

Thanks Carol for that but I'm only on 50Mg but the sweats are awful, I'm always to hot, and I've noticed lately if I'm walking up hill I get palpitations and sweaty and out of breath ??, yet my job entails walking a lot and cycling , so I just don't understand it ???  Carole

You are definitely taking too high a dose; try taking only half a tablet and if you can't cut your tablets in half get back to a doctor. All of your symptoms are those of HYPERthyroidism. You might like to suggest an ultrasound of your thyroid gland as you may have a nodule secreting hormones;
