For about the last month to 5 weeks I had been getting these sort of dizzy spells were the room would move around me for a few seconds or so then it would go away but I would still feel a little bit strange (that maybe due to my anxiety) the symptoms seemed to had gone away the last week or so but when I got up yesterday I was okay until I got to work when it hit me and felt all dizzy again for a little bit and that has continued through to today, it seems to affect me most when I'm sat down or if I'm stood up but on my phone, I was woundering if anyone would know what I am describing or has the same problem? Thanks
Hi Sean, nasty feeling when the world goes lopsided. Have you had any problems with hearing on one side lately. del
Hi and well I wouldn't say difficulty hearing as such but my right ear is a little sensitive to noise sometimes like it screatches and sometimes they feel like full like I can hear blood rushing through them
not being personal but how old are you
some things affect older people, so you rule out some conditions
Vertigo postional sounds like get it checked out at doctors sounds like a mild case good luck
It's okay haha and 19 and fair enough I think I do need to
if you are cradling the phone in your neck and/or holding your head to one side you could have a case of postional vertigo, also known as BPPV, where misaligned/misplaced crystals in your ears cause dizziness.
Try to narrow down exactly what triggers the dizziness. Try tilting your head in different directions, including while laying on a bed. Could be BPPV as others have said. Or, try to see what situations are triggering it.
Sean, do you remember what triggered it, what happened right before these dizzy spells started? Maybe you had a cold, ear infection, or trauma on head, or dental work, etc?
I think it all started when I went on holiday last month, my right ear just didn't seem to like fully pop and that seems to of been the issue since, it feels like it has fully popped now but I get that sort of screatching noise when exposed to loud sounds close to my ear
If it is a benign vertigo, it can go away soon by itself. You just need to be careful meanwhile when getting up or sitting down or turning your head, do it slow to avoid dizzy spells. But I suggest that you do not wait and go see an ear/vestibular specialist, to check why it happened on the first place and make sure there is no infection or other problems.
