Does anyone know????

I started my period when I was 11.  THroughout my teen years it was always extremely heavy lasted 7/8 days with cramps and fevers.  When I turned 18 I got on birth control. It shortened my periods and did away with all the unwated side affects of getting my period  (cramping, fevers, acne ect). Fast forward 6 years and now I am 25. I just stopped taking birth control 2 months ago.  My periods have started coming a  week earlier than they used to and they only last 2-4 days. They are extremely light.  I still get cramps but that is the only side effect that has came back.  I am trying to concieve hence me stopping birth control.  Shoud I be worried in the drastic change in my period before and after birth control?  Any advice?  I know I should trust God and I do, but I can't help but be bothered by this.  Has anyone else been through this? Does this effect my fertility?

Hi Jessica

This is what happened to me, since being off BC my cycle is shorter but more painful now, not helped by lower back pain, osteoarthritis and scolosis!

Your period being earlier is you body adjusting to not being on the BC pills anymore this will sort itself out in time.

I dont think it will effect your fertility it will be your body trying to sort the hormones and such, give it time and i am sure you will be successful in acheiving your goal.

Dawn,

Thank you.  I figure I would need to wait longer for all the BC hormones to get out of my system.  Just worries me that they are so short and light when they used to be so long and heavy.  Hopefully in the next few months they get back to normal.

God bless.

I would not worry about them being shorter or lighter, mine have been like that since i came off BC pills too

take it as a positive
