Does Bronchiectasis related to Anxiety / Depression?

Recently I read a few articles that mentioned some patient with brionchiectasis will develop into depression and anxiety.

“In conclusion, patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis are at increased risk for anxiety and depression. 

I have a concern for my 10 years old boy who was wrongly diagnosed in his earlier age as asthma and was wrongly treated. 

That caused him has serious brionchiectasis issue since last year. Although we managed to spotted it last year but already too late cause the damage in lung is serious.

Recently we noticed his anger management and he was like in his own world. The teacher sharing he no longer focus in school and also there was a few times he told me he is feeling so sad why God give him this illness.

I hope to get advice from anyone who aware of anxiety or depression for brionchiectasis patient.

I have been depressed a lot in the last 10 months. Partly it is being so sick all the time but for me it's also because I can't DO anything. Not being able to walk my dog depresses me greatly.

Some of the meds can be another factor both for depression and anger. Have you checked possible juvenile side effects for all of your son's meds? I am very sensitive to all meds and must be very careful. Also, many of these meds disrupt sleep cycles, and that can lead to or increase depression and anger.
