Hi there.

I had hydrotherapy, physio and went on pain management programme. I can honestly say that it did work for me.

Fibro can be so painful you will be encouraged to keep things moving which, can be very difficult when your in lots of pain.

you are in the right place here as, you will get lots of support.

Take care

Hi I am new to this forum - I have been diagnosed with Fibro/CFS for 8 years now became ill with flu like symptoms about 10 years then it seemed every year  something new started to happen pain, migraines, IBS etc - couldn't understand or cope with it really. How a perfectly healthy/active 49 year old woman could go down hill so quickly and the Dr's couldn't give a name to it.

I read alot about the condition ( when I was able "brain fog&quotwink and gradually I learned to adapt to this disabilitating condition.

Yes hydrotherapy, pain management, finding a local support group, having supportive family and friends all help - but what helped me the most was not trying to fight it any more - the STRESS of pushing myself to do more contstantly made me worse.

Someone I know who could see I wasn't coping very well, showed me something on the internet called "the spoon theory I don't look ill " and that really helped alot.

So on better days/weeks I try to do things that I enjoy and on bad days/weeks I batton down the hatches and wait for the storm to pass.

I hope you find some support and you are not a moaner
