I have a girl I have started seeing who is HSV 2 positive for genital herpes. We have discussed her condition, and I felt ok about things as long as we are taking all the precautions possible. She has had it for yar and is on suppressive therapy. We had out first sexual encounter 5 days ago. We were both naked, and I used my hand in/on her vaginal area. She gave me oral, and finished with her hand. No intercourse took place. I have felt fatigued the last couple of days. This morning I found a blister on one of my thighs. It was itchy and already looked broken open. I didn't think we did anything that would have been risky, but is it possible I may have aquired this already? Thank you for your time.
What precautions were you taking? I caught HSV2 from a blow job. It only took 3-5 days for a sore to show up on my penis.
If the blister is still there then go get it swabbed at your doctors office. If its gone already then it may have just been a bug bite or something. If it comes back, immediately go get it swabbed. You should be fine. Do not have sex with her if she's having an outbreak and always use condoms.
I wasn't taking any precautions in terms of the oral. My understanding was if she only has genital HSV2, that there wasn't any risk of her giving it to me orally. If I was going to have intercourse, I was planning on using a condom in the future.
