Long story short i suffered from a lot of symptoms and did a lot of tests, heart echo, blood test, stool test, colono, endo.
My last test was colonoscopy so the docotor noticed some damage but he couldn't know if its crohn disease or not, so he gave me normix for 2 weeks then pentasa 500mg for 3 months when i started pentasa you have no idea how my life got better until now i stopped it and my symptoms are back including
swelling in the stomach
diharrea
Abdominal pain and cramping and bloating, gets relieved when i do my BM
Doesn't feel like i emptied all in bathroom
Fatigue
Nausea sometimes
belching
Passing mucus in stool sometimes
Can this be IBS? I read the symptoms online and checked that pentasa helped a lot with IBS so i want to know
I took an appointment with the doctor ( another one ) thursday but i want to see what this community would say
P.S: Before i startr pentasa i had a lot of constipation and dirrhea it switches from this to this and ever since pentasa it was well organized for the whole 3 months without any single time conspitation ( i used to have constipation for all of my life at least once a week )
You nee to discuss again wiith your GP and possibly get back on your medications.
You may need further tests to see if your Hats on straight. Lol

One thing I have realised is we have different symptoms. I have been diagnosed with IBS but my symptoms often differ to many. Yesterday I was work in the afternoon started feeling groggy as if I was drunk and had a mad vomiting fit. I walked back which made me feel better and only had a banana as I did not want to be ill again and at 11pm my stomach still decided to start up with 3 hours of diarrhoea. I was so frustrated. I went to the doctor for other reasons but she decided to fist me anyway and one thing I have learned is lots of IBS attacks can be very damaging. I urge everyone to never get IBS. Others' in here tell me I do not even have IBS due to the amount of times I am sick. Apparently it is not a natural symptom so who knows I might be in the wrong place like one of those children who sits in a class and realises they are in the wrong one but at what point do you stand up and admit it.
I checked the symptoms online the common ones and i seem to have them all and ever since i saw the symptoms it all made sense unlike crohn, i do not really know exactly what it is but i hope its nothing that will affect my life badly! Best of luck to you! have u tried pentasa 500mg 3 times a day 2 tablets each time i have seen it helped people suffering from IBS! Pentasa helped me a lot. Check with your doctor first.
Many people have different symptoms so no catch all. Some have back pain while I do not. I was checked for Crohns and I am fine but knew that anyway as I have a friend with Crohns and we have different symptoms and although I lost a few stone he lost half his body weight. IBS has definitely affected my life negatively. Ask my ex after 2 years she could stand it no longer. Only having one bathroom in the house did not help. Anyone who lives with an IBS sufferer needs a second loo. Thank you and not heard of Pentasa I went down the Movicol route. Think my doc is going to refer me for me camera fisting. IBS has given my body a battering and only had it 5 years unlike some who have had it 20. I definitely advise not having it. I did not work a long time once as I could not get out of the loo. Sounds ridiculous but true.
