Hello I'm thinking of trying orlistat again. I stopped last time because I didn't seem to have any effects after eating fatty food. I avoided fat and did lose some weight, but on the occasions I ate fatty food there seemed to be no consequences. Any ideas? Also if I took a tablet and then ate greasy food for example, would the effects be that day or would it take a few days to break the fat down? Looking forward to your advice. Thanks. Sarah
If you didn't get the side effects last time i guess then you wouldn't this time either generally it's 24 hours depends on the person
Hi Sarah,
I'm re starting taking orlistat again I had them for a month I lost 5lb but had a couple of fatty things and nothing happened in fact weirdly enough it made me constipated!!!! :0 My GP said it doesn't work with everyone but it's worth another try so that's what I've decided to do so watch this space and good luck Sarah and keep in touch and let me know how your getting on!

Thank you. I think I just lost weight because I was avoiding fattening foods rather than orlistat doing anything. I found tho that if you want a snack in between meals that you felt you could because the orlistat was only taken at meal times so wouldn't be effective. Is that true do you think? Or would it still be on your system?
