I read articles that suggest jogging helps, I was wondering if this has helped anyone??
Any form of exercise helps relieve anxiety and tension. There's nothing specific about jogging it's just that it's an aerobic exercise. Exercise Releases a feel-good hormones in the brain that Combs everything down and can help get rid of negative thoughts. Exercise is good for everything!
Any form of physicsl physical activity helps. I have been practicing yoga for the past 5 months in addition to exercise and it has helped tremendously. Even walking . I usually take walks during my breaks at work. Swimming is also very soothing. I go hiking and bike riding on the beach. Again any form of physical activity helps including meditation.
Massive help for me. At the peak of my anxiety, I couldn't get out of my own head, 24/7 rumination and worry. I started exercising, after 15 minutes of running my mind tends to shut off and all I can focus on is the act of running. The runners high would last for a good 3 to 4 hours after completing a workout too. Now, I run 4 times per week minimum and have no intention of stopping.
When I am able to motivate myself to do so, a brisk walk helps. I am often fearful, though, and too frightened to leave the house. The anxiety and fear can be horribly tiring.
Any activity I enjoy seems to take away my Depression for a time I think they may call it the feel good factor
