does this look like herpes? what else could it be?

so i developed this rash type thing around end of december, very itchy and maybe a little sore. day to day it varies sometimes its more itchy and red and others slightly better, but its more or less been present for 7 weeks now.

went to the gum clinic today and was examined- and was told they couldnt identify the cause. not BV or thrush. have been tested chlamydia etc but did not swab for HSV however, and as i had a lot of pubic hair the rash wasnt so visable.

i have now shaved and it is much more noticable; does it look like herpes?

you should go get it looked at as soon as you can and get it swabbed. tho herpes doesn’t stay long and doesn’t look like that but everyone is different. could just be some kind of infection.
