Does this look like herpes?

This bump appeared today while i was shaving with an electric razor (I also shaved about 2 days ago in the shower), so i’m assuming its an in grown hair, however, my ex has genital herpes (I have not had sexual intercourse with him sine july though and have had no symptoms or outbreaks since)
Current symptoms:
-. Area surrounding is somewhat red and irritated from shaving but no pain or itching
-. Bump itself appears red and somewhat shiny but i dont think it looks like it has liquid in it. Feels hard like a cyst. Pain with pressure but not consistently painful and the bump and surrounding area is not itchy. This is the only bump
-. No pain with urination

well I would just say keep an eye on it and see what happens. I mean it’s either going to become something or it’s not. I have one just like that but it’s all red and I’m just keeping my eye on it to see if it becomes a blister or opens up or is just goes away and is like a pimple or ingrown hair. if you are worried you could go get it swabbed.

It looks like a pimple/cyst sort of lump more than herpes but as said by Carla, keep an eye on it and if you’re concerned get it swabbed for your peace of mind.
