I know I have HSV-1 because I’ve suffered from coldsores in the past (but I haven’t had an outbreak for five years), so I know what they look like and what they can feel like. I’ve noticed these three bumps on my labia. They do not hurt, itch, or burn, and I don’t have a yeast infection. This happened after a period where I had been wearing a pad. Have never noticed them before. The place where I was tested does not do swabs, so I have sent in a bloodtest, but the doctor said she’d only give me treatment if she thought it was necessary and she didn’t think so.
hard to say , cant see it clearly but it could and it could not be . do you recall your partner going down on you and if he ever had a cold sore
He did not have a cold sore
doesnt look like it
Just in case anyone has similar symptoms - I was tested negative for genital herpes and another nurse practitioner confirmed it didn’t look like herpes. Still get checked out if you have any suspicion.
did you get a swab?
I took a blood test.
Should I still be worried?
depends when your last sexual encounter was.
as long as it was 3 months after the encounter then you can rest easy, usually definitive by then.
