Please tell me it’s not 
I noticed a single bump about a week ago, it was red and then filled with pus, the bump itself did not hurt, and after it popped it just kind of subsided, no scabs or anything- I brushed it off as an ingrown hair as my hair was starting to grow in and I’ve been having a very very bad ingrown hair problem. BTW this is around my lower tummy/top of my vag area. It was immensely itchy earlier in the week, but I have had a similar itch the last time I got waxed and my hair started coming in. I waxed again the other day and I noticed a few more red spots the day after. Now the number of bumps are starting to scare me and I’m worried it’s not ingrown hairs, but something way worse.
This one is hard to tell, but it look like it can be a combination of both. If it’s still able to be swabbed go ahead and do so, if not take a Herpes IGG blood test at 3 months or more for the best accuracy. Best of luck!
Hi, I don’t think it looks like herpes. However, the only way to be sure is to get swabbed.
It does look like a bad case if folliculitis to me. It can be causes either by bacteria or yeast. You should clean your skin daily with gently soap and apply an antiseptic of your choice. I prefer peroxide. You can also apply a small quantity of antifungal. I strongly recommend to stop waxing and shaving until it resolves… otherwise your hair follicule will be more susceptible to inflammation. Try to not pop and mess with them.
