Recently diagnosed with HSV 1 and i’m terrified that i’ve given myself HSV2 by carelessly touching myself down there. Positive i didnt get it thru sex.
This looks like herpes. Get it swabbed and see if its HSV-1 or HSV-2. Severity / asymptomatic shedding differs between the two.
Hey Jai, you can not give yourself HSV2 from HSV1 in your mouth sine they are different viruses. It is possible you have HSV1 in your genital area too, from your mouth. In any case, do not worry. Many people have herpes and it does not determine whether you live a happy, healthy life. Additionally, HSV1 causes less outbreaks and shedding. Go see a doctor for a swab. Wish you the best!

thank you so much ive been so scared. i feel like this will ruin my life honestly. so i couldnt give anyone hsv2 since i only have hsv1 right? I have an appt Thursday but im afraid itll be healed by then.
