Thats a canker sore. Cold sores normally present as a crop of fluid filled blisters caused by hsv. Canker sores and cold sores are not the same thing. Canker sores are not contagious, cold sores are.

thank you for your reply. ive been dealing with anxiety for weeks. i shared a cigarette with someone who i found out later had cold sores. he didnt have an outbreak though., and ive not had any cold sores on my lips. do they start always outside the mouth? or inside? or both the same time?
