Hi just had a 4th attack this year that started with sudden severe stomach pain (from ribs to navel), severe nausea, hard bloated stomach, pain through to back.. It started late at night and lasted around 2 hours before i was able to go to sleep. It felt like when you have food poisoning but although i retched a few times nothing came up and did not have the runs. I have suffered on and off with acid indigestion for 2- years and endoscope a couple of years ago showed slight inflammation and small sliding hiatus hernia. I had been taking Ranitadine as prior to this i was getting acid and burping a lot. Managed to get doctors appointment yesterday and she said just take more Ranitadine but if it happened again and i felt cold/shaky or vomited blood go to A&E. She has arranged for an ultra sound of gall bladder but dont know how long i will have to wait. I had one before which looked at gall bladder and pancreas but showed nothing. Trouble is by the time you get an appointment its settled. Any advice would be appreciated.thank you.

did you do endoscopy,ultrasound for gallstones and Hida scan for gall bladder malfunction?
